Condition

Probably adapted from a longcase clock. Herms, applied giltwood carvings, and feet are probably later. Mahogany with restored age cracks, some lifting to the veneer to one side of the base, small chips and losses. The right side of the cornice with a chip to the mahogany moulding (approximately 3 inches). Feet with some losses to the paint; wear to paint and decoration throughout. Giltwood carvings with rubbing to gilding; chips to carving and to gesso.
