Condition
Gilt bronze with some very minor rubbing and some oxidation- the majority to the sword. Please note that we do not guarantee movements. Dial hands are slightly bent. Marble with some minor abrasions and chips to edges.

Catalogue Note
This model was created by Pierre-François Feuchère in 1807 and one appeared in his 1812 sale as no. 8 and sold for 3,400 francs. An example, formerly in the collection of the duc de Caraman, is illustrated Hans Ottomeyer and Peter Pröschel, Vergoldete Bronzen, vol. 1, Munich, 1986, fig. 5.6.3. A clock of this model using porphyry instead of marble and attributed to Feuchère was sold Christie's London, June 11, 1992, lot 74.
