The stools are not a true pair. One has a rounded top while the other is flat and while the basic palette and design are similar, there are differences such as the interlinked 'cash' signs which are are different colors and there is more gilt in one than the other. The stool with the slightly convex top has extensive restoration, there is overpaint on the exterior and the interior has been lined with a consolidating paste. The other stool is in overall good condition with expected wear and minor losses of enamel.
