Description
- porcelain and gilt bronze
- 17.5cm high
each recumbent beast supporting a square-sectioned baluster vase on its back, its front paw resting on a brocade ball, one lion enamelled in turquoise and the other in aubergine, later gilt-bronze mounts
Condition
Both inspected within their mounts. The tongues of both lions have been broken and lost. There are general enamel wear and surface scratches. The body of the lions with wax deposits which should benefit from sympathetic cleaning.
