Condition
Overall the condition of the bronzes is good, with some wear and dirt to the surfaces consistent with age. There is wear, including tarnishing, to the gilding and silvering throughout, and in particular to the front of Louis XIV's horse. The top of Francois' sceptre and the stirrup on his proper left side are loose. There are a few minor nicks and scratches.
The bases are in good condition with some dirt and wear including chips, in particular to the corners of Francois' base. There is a hole to the top of each base. The undersides are covered with green felt.
