each of octagonal form, the deep rounded sides divided into eight facets, rising from a splayed foot to a wide everted rim, each facet variously painted with birds amongst flowering branches,, all between an iron-red and gilt classic scroll band, the flat rim painted with demi florets reserved on a cloud scroll ground, the foot pierced with geometric openings and brightly enamelled in various colours
Condition
The one jardinière has been broken into approximately six pieces and restored, the other is in good condition with the exception of a circa 15mm., shallow chip to the edge of the foot, and a circa 25mm., shallow rim chip.
