Description

each modelled standing with the left arm raised holding a child, dressed in long flowing robes falling into voluminous folds, the face with a benevolent expression beneath hair piled up into a high chignon, all raised on a rocky plinth
Condition
The one figure has restoration to damage on the lower front of the robe (below the tied cords) and to the lower left sleeve, restoration to the left side of the face and head, and minor glaze firing imperfections including a hairline firing crack to the base; one of the other figures has a circa 35cm., hairline body crack running around the shoulder and back, a chip to the front of the collar, and a 13cm., firing crack to the base; the other figure is in good condition.
