- Nikolaus Friedrich Eisenberger
- Four botanical watercolours
- All watercolour over black chalk;
all signed, lower right: N.F. Eisenberger ad vivum fecit. and extensively inscribed
Condition
All four works are individually hinge mounted in their respective cream colored mounts. Each work has an old horizontal fold mark running across the centre of the sheet and evidence of some slight offset of the pen and ink inscriptions from when each work was previously folded. Three of the four works are in particulary good condition with only minor stains and surface dirt in places. One sheet (see online illustration) has some additional light brown staining to the left half. The medium of all four works is in very good condition, with the colours fresh and vibrant throughout. Please note that this lot is offered for sale unframed.
