The arms are those of Vaughan, Earls of Lisburne, for either John 3^rd Earl (d. 1831), colonel, M.P. for Cardiganshire 1796-1818, who died in 1831 or his son Ernest Augustus, 4^th Earl (d. 1873), M.P.for Cardiganshire 1854-59, and High Sheriff.
