Provenance

The arms are those of Knox, possibly for one of the sons of Thomas Knox, 1st Earl of Ranfurly, and his wife the Hon. Diana Jane, daughter of Edmund, 1st Viscount Pery.  Their second son Edmund Knox (1787-1867) was an Admiral in the Royal Navy.
