Condition
Velvet writing surface with some losses to pile and light stains. Gilt bronze has been lacquered. Veneer to stretcher with age cracks at areas where stretcher curves. Veneers with small chips and nicks consistent with use and age and mostly to legs and stretcher.

Catalogue Note
This table de milieu is from a successful design which bears similarities with two of the most prominent 18th century cabinet makers: Adam Weisweiler and Jean Henry Riesener. Comparable tables have been made by Charles-Guillaume Winckelsen and Henri Dasson.
