The Pencil of Nature, London: Longman, Brown, Green & Longmans, 1844. Part II, folio 4to with 7 salt prints from calotype negatives, plates VI-XII. Each print mounted to card with accompanying letterpress page, and each plate numbered 6 - 12 in ink on the mount. Varying sizes of plates from 15 x 19.5 cm (5  7/8  x 19¾ in.) to  22 x 18 cm (8 ¾ x 7 in.) Inscribed  No.2, 21/ and Also a letter (12th August?) from Elizabeth Fielding to Mrs Cunliffe in ink on the cover.  Accompanied by a hand written letter from Elisabeth Feilding to Mrs Cunliffe. 

Condition

This folio is in fair condition. With extensive fading to all the salt prints. With some foxing and handling marks on all pages as one would expect considering its age. With extensive foxing and handling marks to the front cover, and with a partially split spine that joins the back cover.
