Condition
126cm across the top; 128cm across the bottom; 233cm left side; 234cm right side.
This is an attractive piece with lovely colour to the field. Overall the pile is thin and down to knotheads in areas, generally 1-2mm and is most prominent in the areas of blue and brown in the main border. The ends are worn throughout, particularly to the bottom right corner where a 'bite' measuring approx. 6cm in length can be found indenting approx. 3cm. deep. The side cords are worn throughout and in areas reveal the foundation and weave, this is more noticeable on the right hand side. There is a section of fold damage measuring approx. 3cm to the outer border on the right upper quadrant. The field has abrash running from the mid-section down to the lower quarter, measures approx. 90cm. There are some small white surface stains, one in the upper end in the mid-section to the outer border, another two can be located to the left and right of the bottom border. This rug requires a thorough clean and stabilisation of the ends and sides would beneficial.
