each painted with peacocks and other birds in flight amongst large peonies and other floral blooms borne on leafy branches, all below a chevron band around the shoulder, the neck decorated with floral branches issuing from pierced rocks, the domed cover similarly decorated

Condition
The one jar has a 23cm., three-pointed hairline star crack to the rim with an associated 5x15mm., V-shaped chip, an 18cm., hairline rim crack; the other jar has a 7x5cm., repaired break at the rim; both jars have misfiring and flaking to the blue enamels; the one cover has a 9cm., wide crescent-shaped rim chip and minor shallow flakes and fritting to the rim; the other cover has minor shallow flakes and fritting to the edge of the rim.
