the globular body rising from a stepped foot, surmounted by a tall waisted neck terminating to a garlic-form mouth, the neck flanked by a pair of foliate scroll handles, decorated to the exterior with rows of lotus lappets, covered overall in a sea-green glaze

Condition

One vase with a 2.5cm diagonal glaze crack to the garlic-mouth and a grit/burst glaze bubble to the body. There is a 0.2cm frit to the mouthrim and general spotting to the interior of the rim. The other vase with three small firing flaws/burst glaze bubble (0.1cm) around the shoulder and the body, and a discoloured iron spot (1cm) at the shoulder. Both vases with other general surface scratches and firing imperfections such as short firing cracks, iron spots and burst glaze bubbles. The actual colour is of a warmer celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
