the gilt-heightened black lacquer with reserves of landscapes, kylins and birds, the sides glazed, within frames carved with rocaille scrolls and paterae, the interior fitted with a secretaire, the stand with square legs similarly carved and gadrooned

Condition
A decorative piece in 'country house' condition. The re-gilt surface with small chips and losses. The glazed panel to the left return with several cracks. Typical craquelure to the lacquer panels commensurate with age and notably to the panels on the cupboard doors which are not glazed. the interior is fitted with a secretaire which is not referred to in the printed catalogue. Old marks and scratches throughout.
