the silver and silver-gilt mounts chasedwith panels of bulbous scrolling flowers and foliage in Indian style, the initials PC for Lady Margaret Etienne Hannah ('Peggy') Crewe-Milnes, below a marquess's coronet, comprising: nine cut-glass jars, a boudoir clock (the underside engraved with the Patent Office Design Registry no. 227553), a toilet box, four hair and clothes brushes, a hand mirror, a pair of glove stretchers and a shoe horn, together with a enamel and silver-mounted glass scent bottle engraved in the manner of Wilhelm Fritsche, the cap with the Crewe-Milnes monogram below a marquess's coronet, G. Betjemann & Sons Ltd., London, 191215cm., 6 in high; a silver hand mirror, probably German, circa 1900; two Dutch circular and oblong engine-turned pill boxes, 1824 , 5cm., 2in. and 6cm., 2 3/8 in.; another example, chased with elegant couples, upright form, importer's mark of Elly Isaac Miller, London, 1902, 5cm., 2in.; a  George III snuff box, later chased, Thomas Willmore, Birmigham, 1821, 8.3cm., 3 1/4 in wide; a small engine-turned travelling pepperette, French, 5.3cm., 2 in long; a silver inkwell with glass liner, Carrington & Co., London, 1897, 12.5cm., 5 in diameter; a silver-mounted alabaster match holder, G. Condition

The silver and marks are generally good with some wear and dents. Some of the mounts have become detached from the glass.The bristles of the brushes all damaged. The button hook is damaged; minor chips to glass. Enamelled silver and glass flask; the glass is in good order, the enamel is chipped and the silver dented. The hand mirror is in good order although the mirror is deteriorating. The two Dutch boxes are dented while the other example is in similar order. The later chased snuff box in good order with minor dents to the edge of the base. The French pepperette is in good order. The inkstand with marks and condition both good. The match holder and hand mirror in good order.
