- A silver-mounted enamel egg bonbonnière, French mid 18th century
- ENAMEL, SILVER, LEATHER
- 7 cm., 3 in. high ; 11.5 cm., 4 1/2 in. wide
decorated in raised gilding with cherubs and giant flowers on a green ground, later Dutch import mark, with morocco leather case; and a rectangular enamel casket with gilt-metal mounts, painted with travellers and flowers reserved on a turquoise ground with raised white ornament, French, late 19th century
Condition
Egg with some wear to gilding overall; mount reglued; crack and restored chip at back near hinge; casket has mount detached, chips on bottom corners and one side
