  • 8.2cm., 3 1/8 in. wide
rectangular with curved corners, hatched decoration, the interior lid with a portrait minaiture on ivory described as ‘John Crewe when boy’, for John Crewe, 1st Baron Crewe (1742-1829)

interior lid plaque detached, tortoiseshell cracked on left side, miniature in good condition
