comprising: a gold-mounted 'vernis Martin' étui, Paris, 1750-1756, painted with putti among clouds and love birds, discharge of Julien Berthe, 11cm., 4 3/8 in. with a label typescript ' best wishes from Queen Mary' (torn); another gold-mounted etui, French, circa 1900, painted in green camaieu with putti among love birds holding garlands of flowers, 13cm., 5 1/8 in.; an oval silver and horn snuff box, John Obrisset, London, circa 1700-1710, the lid pressed with a gentleman smoking a pipe, signed 'OB/ FECIT/LONDI/NI', 8.2cm., 3 1/4 in.; an oval silver-mounted mother-of-pearl snuff box, German, circa 1720, the lid and base carved with monogram A, 7.6cm., 3 in.; another example, Dutch, 20th century, of cartouche form, carved with a shepherdess, 7.7cm., 3 in.; a silver and translucent agate snuff box, German, late 19th century, of cartouche form, prestige mark, 7.5cm., 3 in.; a lacquer and tortoiseshell snuff box, of navette form, painted with Commedia Dell'Arte figures, 8cm., 3 1/8 in.
