  • watercolour and bodycolour on ivory, gold frame, inset into the interior of a green leather and velvet box, stamped: A.W. Dear & Co. / Hyde Park Corner / London / Countess of Crewe 1899
  • Miniature: 68 by 52 mm; 2 5/8 by 2 in.; box: 365 mm; 14 1/2 in. (width)

Provenance

Possibly a wedding gift in 1899 from Hannah, Countess of Rosebery to her daughter, Peggy, Countess of Crewe.

Condition

The miniature has remained in good condition. The box is also well preserved although there is a little ware to the leather.
