comprising: 8 fans with ivory sticks and painted leaves, 18th century, in four silk boxes, and a painted leaf without mounts, in a silk box, approx.. 27 cm., 10 5/8 in. ; two silk examples with spangles and ivory mounts, French, circa 1780, in boxes, approx.. 27 cm., 10 5/8 in.; 4 fans with painted gauze and spangled leaves, mother of pearl sticks, one with the cipher M in diamonds, 19th century, one with red silk leaf and wood sticks, Spanish, 20th century

1. Red Satin modern fan/ no value
4. Late Louis XV. Roman Scene, as so many of the fans of that period were. Perforated ivory sticks/ £15
9. Louis XV. Pastoral scene. Carved mother of pearl sticks. Should be put in cabinet/ £20 or £25
10. Louis XV. The best of all. Mythological scene (Aurora?) and Chinese scene at back, as in that period there was a craze for the Chinese. Been badly repaired. For a cabinet/ £30 or £40
12. Late Louis XV. Ivory sticks carved and coloured. Telemache on Island of Calypso?/ £30 about
13. Quite modern. Diamond M & coronet. When new probably cost £15, but is only worth today about £6 or £7
18. Louis XV Pastoral scene. Sticks perforated and gilded mother of pearl. (in primrose brocade box)/ £25
