- A collection of umbrellas, parasols and walking sticks, late 19th century - 20th century
- fruitwood, ivory, tortoiseshell, lapis, lazuli, gold, sapphires, mother of pearl
in various materials including a wood unmbrella, Trefusse & Co, with gilt-metal plaque inscribed: P. Crewe / Nether Woodcote / Epsom, and paper label handwritten 'The Marchioness of Crewe'; one with tortoiseshell handle applied with enamelled lady, birds and flowers ; a parasol, French, with carved ivory shaft, engraved with monogram PC under a Marchioness's coronet for Peggy Crewe-Milne, gold-mounted lapis lazuli handle; a blond tortoiseshell umbrella, carved with initial C for Crewe, with a gold-mounted sapphire-set ring; three gold and gilt-metal walking sticks including a French example, stamped 'Verbier', applied with filigree, chased with birds and inscription: Diner du 20 Mars 1876, and a wood and metal shoe horn
Condition
Some wear commensurate with use but overall good condition and very nice group. Would strongly recommend viewing before the auction.
