  • 91.5cm. high, 200cm. wide, 79cm. deep; 3ft., 6ft. 6¾in., 2ft. 7in.
the serpentine mottled grey marble top above a scroll and shell carved frieze on double-scrolled and shell carved legs with shaped stretchers centred on an asymmetric cartouche

Provenance

Possibly acquired by Robert Pemberton Milnes (1784–1858) or his wife Henrietta Monkton-Arundell Milnes (d.1847) in Milan, Italy where they rented an apartment in the Palazzo Arconati between 1829-1832.

Condition

Losses and wear from worm. Much wear and flaking to gilt surface, Despite untouched and tired condition and impressive piece. Old restorations and chips. Unsteady and requires fixing to a wall.
