Condition
The panel is flat and stable. It is made up of three planks joined vertically. The condition is good overall. There is a dirty and discoloured varnish. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals retouchings to both of the panel joins an to an old vertical split joint to the right of the centre, running the length of the panel. Minor infilling to the craquelure is visible in the face. Also visible are further scattered retouchings throughout, predominately in the background. The picture is offered in a black painted frame with a gilt edge and inner sight.
