presented to the Marquess of Crewe on opening the Keats Museum, Hampstead, with presentation inscription and date 16 July 1931, the enamel with the arms of the London Borough of Hampstead, cased

some minor wear to gilding but otherwise good condition.

Keats House was the house occupied by the poet John Keats (1795-1821). It was opened as a museum and public library on 16 July 1931 to display artefacts including the engagement ring he offered to his beloved Fanny Brawne and a copy of Keats's death mask.
