The oval carved agate, with Melusine handles decorated with pear-shaped rubies, natural pearls, single-cut and rose diamonds, circular-cut sapphires and enamel, three small diamonds deficient.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US; this piece may contain a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Agate bowl in good condition. One Zoomorphic handle loose, one screw detached but present, the other with enamel loss to underside of one tail. Minor wear consistent with use. Four small diamonds deficient.
