Description
- EMERALD, DIAMOND, GOLD, METAL, RUBY, ONYX
One of rectangular shape depicting a bird surrounded by floral motifs, set with variously cut rubies, emeralds, polished onyx and circular-cut diamonds, one ruby deficient; the second millegrain-set with marquise-shaped, circular- and single-cut diamonds, accented with variously cut emeralds, French assay marks.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information.
Rectangular brooch: indistinct mark on pin. Rubies light purplish red, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification, one ruby deficient. Emeralds light green, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Total diamond weight approximately 4.00-6.00 carats, diamonds bright and lively. Secure fittings. Scratches to metal consistent with wear.
Second brooch: French assay marks for 18 carat gold and platinum. Emeralds medium green, transparent, typical inclusions visible under magnification. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.50-4.00 carats, estimated colour H-J, estimated clarity VS-SI on average. Secure pin. Scratches consistent with wear. In good condition.
