The stylized grape cluster set with 13 round and oval-shaped ruby cabochons, accented by round, old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 6.25 carats, with French assay and workshop marks.
Condition
In good overall condition with some minor surface wear to the mounting, not apparent when worn. The ruby cabochons range from a medium-deep slightly purplish red to pinkish red, and are moderately to heavily included with examples of surface-reaching inclusions and cavities throughout, only visible under close inspection. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, predominantly VS clarity. Partial workshop mark, possibly for Darde et Fils. Dimensions of brooch approximately 2 3/4 by 1 1/2 inches, fitted with a safety latch to secure the pinstem.
