• 14.5’’' nickel lever movement, 31 jewels, column wheel split second chronograph • white enamel dial with painted black Arabic numerals, subsidiary dial for the constant seconds, outer minute track, 1/5th seconds track with Arabic numerals, spade hands • 18k pink gold case, hinged cuvette, coaxial chronograph button to the crown, split second pusher at 10, chronograph lock at 11, slide to activate the minute repeater at 9 o'clock, the back engraved with an eagle holding a cross above a banner reading 'Sic Fidem Teneo' (thus I keep faith) • case, dial, cuvette and movement signed by retailer
Condition
Movement running at the time of cataloging however it was not tested for the accuracy of time nor duration of the power reserve and may benefit from a service at the buyer's expense. Chiming in phase however slows down towards the minutes. Case in good condition with wear and light scratches overall consistent with age. Dial in good condition with light scratches overall, no visible hairlines. Movement in good condition.
The present lot was made by Patek Philippe and retailed by Tiffany & Co. It is accompanied by an Extract from the Archives confirming the watch was made in 18k pink gold, and its date of sale on December 19th, 1895.
