Catalogue Note
The fearsome form of the Goddess Devi, victorious after her battle with the asuras, stands on the body of a smiling white Sada (corpse-like) Shiva. She waves her attributes in her four arms: a sword, a skull, a lotus and a pair of scissors, wearing only a tiger skin skirt and ornaments. On her head a turban of serpents. Standing in the cemetery ground covered with human bones. A flat yellow background with a red streaked cloudy blue sky above.
