Condition
This work is well stretched, though somewhat eccentrically, as the beveled edge is facing away from the canvas. The pigment is thinly applied to the back, or unprimed side, of a gessoed piece of linen. Under ultraviolet light it reads ambiguously, but there are retouches running through the dark grasses along the bottom edge of the picture addressing some weakness here. Apart from a few isolated retouches the remainder of the work is in beautiful condition and should be hung as is.
