Condition

The canvas is lined. There is no varnish on the surface, and the texture is unaffected by the lining. The reason for the lining was probably some instability in the paint layer running vertically through the right side. Retouches are clearly visible under ultraviolet light. The retouches are slightly visible to the naked eye in some areas and could be adjusted, but the work could also be hung in its current state.
