Condition
This work on canvas has been mounted onto board. It seems to be well mounted. Given the fine and delicate nature of the canvas and paint layer, this support certainly cannot be criticized. The painting has probably never been cleaned and seems to be quite dirty at present. There is one restoration about half an inch from the center left edge. This is the only retouching to the work. There is a small light colored spot above the floral design in the helmet; this may be a small loss, but could also very well be intentional by the artist to describe a small highlight.
