Condition
Both works have been recently restored, including re-paint along the borders, superficial cleaning and a change of varnish. The stretchers remained unchanged. Slight discoloration is visible along upper and lower borders probably caused by aging or previous frames. Buckling and scuffing of the canvas along these same borders are visible, as they are glued to the stretcher all along the upper and lower borders, in the case of both paintings.
A slight scratch on upper right hand area of one of the paintings is visible (on Cuadro de comedor con tinaja de barro).
