Description
- white jade
- Guan Yin approximately 315.00 x 185.00 x 120.00mm.
The semi-translucent nephrite jade of celadon tone, carved as a Guan Yin holding a scroll and resting on a lotus flower.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to the Jadeite Testing Certificate, the carved jade vase is natural, Nephrite Jade. Please refer to the certificate for details. In our opinion, the jade is translucent, of very light celadon colour. Finely carved in a flowing robe, with a detailed face, fine features and benevolent expression, adorned with intricate beaded jewellery. Under strong penlight, there are a few light fissures at the back and some areas nearer to the base, few minute nibbles on the edge of the scroll, not noticeable to the naked eye.
Condition: The figure is in overall very good condition. With a fitted wooden base in good condition.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. Please check with the specialist department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these import restrictions, or any other restrictions on importation or exportation.
