Description
- cat's-eye chrysoberyl, diamond, platinum
Centring on a cat's-eye chrysoberyl weighing 15.96 carats, within a ballerina-setting of circular-cut and tapered baguette diamonds together weighing approximately 1.80 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6½
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to GIA report, the cat's-eye chrysoberyl is natural, with no indications of treatment. Please refer to the report for details. In our opinion, the cat's-eye chrysoberyl is of brownish yellowish green colour, with strong chatoyancy (cat's-eye effect) upon spot lighting. Upon 10x loupe with illumination, there are natural inclusions and a minor surface fissure line on side, not noticeable to naked eyes in normal lighting. Diamonds are about E to F colours, VS clarity.
Condition: This ring is offered without reserve. Platinum ring mount, with signs of normal wear, overall in good condition.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. Prospective purchasers are reminded that, unless the catalogue description specifically states that a stone is natural, we have assumed that some form of treatment may have been used and that such treatment may not be permanent. Our presale estimates reflect this assumption.
