Description
- ruby, diamond, platinum, yellow gold
Of cluster design, set with eleven pear-shaped rubies together weighing 38.22 carats, decorated by twenty-four brilliant-cut and one hundred forty-eight pear-shaped diamonds together weighing approximately 104.50 carats, mounted in platinum and 18 karat yellow gold, length approximately 380mm.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to Gübelin reports, all rubies are natural, of Burmese origin, with indications of heating. Ten round and fifteen pear-shaped diamonds ranging from 1.01 to 2.11 carat size, according to GIA reports, are D to H colours, Internally Flawless to SI1 clarity. Other ninety-seven smaller pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds are D to H colours, Internally Flawless to SI2 clarity. Please refer to the reports for details. In our opinion, the rubies are of intense red colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, there are fingerprints and crystal inclusions, and a few stones may have surface reaching fissures but not seen to naked eyes. Other diamonds small round and pear-shaped diamonds are about E to G colours, mostly VVS to VS clarity.
Condition: Platinum and karat yellow gold mount, well-made with articulated links sit well on neck, in very good condition.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US.
