Description
- sapphire, diamond, platinum
Centring on a step-cut sapphire weighing 19.43 carats, surrounded by brilliant-cut diamonds extending to the shoulders, the diamonds together weighing approximately 2.00 carats, mounted in platinum. Ring size: 6¼
Condition
Colour and Clarity: According to both Gübelin and SSEF reports, the sapphire is natural, of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating. SSEF appendix further states that this sapphires "exhibits a highly attractive colour combined with an outstanding purity........Its saturated blue colour - poetically also referred to as "royal blue"......A natural sapphire from Burma of this size and quality is very rare and exceptional." Please refer to the reports and appendix for details. In our opinion, the sapphire is of saturated blue colour, very clean to naked eyes and lively. Under 10x loupe, there are natural fingerprints on corners, not noticeable. Diamonds are about E to F colours, VS clarity.
Condition: Vintage platinum ring mount, with signs of wear to the shank, overall in very good condition.
