Centering a square emerald-cut ruby weighing approximately 5.10 carats, framed by oval-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, further set with baguette diamonds weighing approximately .80 carat, size 4½, fitted with inner sizing spheres.

Condition

In very good condition. The ruby is a bright medium slightly pinkish red and lightly included mostly in the form of silk under the table and some small colorless and black crystals. Under magnification the ruby exhibits minor surface reaching fractures and a moderate to significant chip on one of the facet junctions near one of the gold prongs, on the pavilion there are minor abrasions to the culet. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, VS clarity. The shank is slightly thinned and fitted with two sizing spheres. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 60627 stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
