The three-strand necklace composed of 94 turquoise beads, the clasp centering a baroque cultured pearl measuring approximately 24.7 by 17.5 mm, framed by variously-cut rubies and turquoise cabochons, further set with round diamonds weighing approximately 1.30 carats, gross weight approximately 285 dwts, length 25 inches, signed MdV.

In good condition overall. The turquoise beads display a medium blue color, some with slightly greenish overtones, with significant matrix and subtle color mottling. The baroque cultured pearl displays a silvery white body color with strong pink and soft green overtones, good luster and minor blemishing mainly in the form of pitting and uneven skins. The rubies are a medium to medium-deep slightly pinkish red to purplish red, moderately to heavily included with examples of surface-reaching inclusions, fractures, and abrasions at the facet junctions, visible under close inspection. The turquoise cabochons are medium-light slightly greenish blue, with some very minor matrix on one of the cabochons. The diamonds are approximately G-H color, predominantly VS clarity. Necklace bears a nice heft.
