Of openwork design, the panels centering 16 cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 63.25 carats, accented by round, pear and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 10.90 carats, gross weight approximately 79 dwts, length 16 inches, signed Gübelin, numbered 301285, with maker's mark.
Condition
In good condition. The cabochon sapphires are medium to medium-deep slightly violetish blue, moderately to heavily included with examples of relatively sizable fractures, cracks, and surface-reaching inclusions that are visible under close inspection but that do not threaten the durability of the stones. The diamonds range from approximately G-J color, VS-SI clarity. Well-made and nicely flexible. Bearing a nice heft with gross weight approximately 79 dwts. Comfortable upon wear, with length approximately 16 inches. Signed on the reverse of the female end of the clasp. Fitted with a safety closure.
