Designed as a falcon atop a gloved hand, the glove set with one oval-shaped cabochon ruby, suspending two pear-shaped cabochon rubies, the falcon with a black enamel hood and two cultured pearl eyes, set with round diamonds weighing approximately 2.60 carats, gross weight approximately 26 dwts, signed Verdura.

In good condition. Setting displays very minute scratches to non-textured polished surfaces of the brooch, consistent with normal wear. Slight tarnishing to the tail feathers and the upper left wing as well as minute loss to the enamel on the reverse consistent with use and not visible when worn. The slightly included rubies display an even, medium slightly purplish red hue. The pearls display a white body color, with soft blue overtones and good luster. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, and predominantly VS clarity.
