Centering a calf's head-shaped yellow sapphire weighing 18.67 carats, accented by single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .25 carat, framed by articulated fringes set with pear-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 4.20 carats, size 7¼, with French assay and workshop marks.
Condition
In good condition. The sapphire is a lively medium deep yellow, lightly included with some very minor chipping to the girdle visible under magnification. The pear-shaped diamonds are approximately F-G color, predominantly VS clarity with some SI examples and move very nicely when worn. The 18 single-cut diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. Workshop marks are a V and an S bisected by a serpent. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 56361 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
