Description

The openwork bow set with rose and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats, centering a natural pearl measuring approximately 9.4 by 9.6 mm, one small rose-cut diamond missing; circa 1910.
Condition
In fair to good condition. The slightly button-shaped pearl has a creamy white bodycolor, moderate rose and green overtones and good luster. The skin exhibits one significant pit, some minor cracking and minor to moderate peeling, especially towards the base of the pearl. The small rose-cut diamonds are near colorless and approximately SI clarity, a few of the stones have minor chips commensurate with age. One small rose-cut diamond is missing. The reverse of the mounting shows evidence of repairs with lead solder, particularly near the center of the brooch. There is significant glue residue at the center of the brooch, where the pearl was attached. Two areas of solder are evident when the brooch is face-up. Approximately 2 inches wide. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2175051009 stating that the pearl is natural, saltwater.
