The carved onyx case with a buckle clasp accented by rose-cut diamonds and cabochon rubies, measuring approximately 3 1/8 by 1 7/8 by 5/8 inches, signed Cartier Paris, Londres, New York, numbered 4263, with workshop mark for Henri Lavabre; circa 1925.
Condition
In good condition. Very minute chipping to the back left corner of the case. The diamonds are of decorative quality, with a total weight of approximately .35 carat. The rubies are in good condition, the cabochon mounted on the lid displays surface-reaching inclusions, otherwise rubies are in good condition and display a lively, medium slightly purplish red hue. The signature appears on the underside of the clasp. Dimensions of case approximately 3 1/4 by 1 3/4 by 3/8 inches.
