Centering a purple star sapphire measuring approximately 12.0 by 9.6 by 7.9 mm, accented by baguette and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .45 carat, size 4¼, numbered 11182, engraved 'W.O.S.-M.M.R. 3.25.40'; circa 1935.
Condition
In good condition. Light abrasions and nicking to the mounting are present but consistent with light wear. The semi translucent sapphire displays a medium reddish purple hue, please note the small surface cavity under the sapphire is not visible when worn. The sapphire is accompanied by GIA report no. 5161833045 stating that the sapphire is 9.58 carats, natural corundum, with no indications of heating. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, and VS-SI clarity. Interior ring shank is engraved 'W.O.S-M.M.R 3-25-40' with serial no. 11182.
