The larger violin fashioned from gold, gross weight approximately 7 dwts, with French assay and workshop mark; together with a smaller brooch designed as a violin, set with old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.05 carats, gross weight approximately 5 dwts. The gold violin with a fitted box resembling a violin case.
Condition
LARGE VIOLIN: In good condition. Light scratches and abrasions are present to the setting and would be consistent with normal wear. Light discoloration to the back of the gold violin, pin finding is slightly out of shape. Length approximately 2 3/8 inches. SMALL VIOLIN: In good condition. Light scratches and abrasions are present to the setting and would be consistent with normal wear. Diamonds are approximately H-J color and predominantly SI clarity. Length approximately 1 3/4 inches.
