The four-strand necklace composed of 244 pearls measuring approximately 10.9 by 10.8 to 3.7 mm, the butterfly-shaped clasp set with an oval-shaped sapphire cabochon measuring approximately 10.5 by 6.6 by 3.2 mm, accented by round sapphires, further set with rose, old mine and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, length 14½ inches.

Condition

In fair condition. The off-round pearls display a creamy body color with moderate rose overtones and fair to good luster. The pearls display some minor blemishing such as ringing, wrinkled skins, and in some instances peeling skins. The sapphires in the brooch display a medium violetish blue hue, the cabochon center is semi-translucent with surface-reaching inclusions and some chipping visible to the top of the stone. The diamonds are of decorative quality. Accompanied by GIA report no. 5161947254 stating that 197 pearls are natural, 45 pearls are bead cultured, and 2 pearls are of indeterminable origin.
