Centered by an oval-shaped sapphire weighing 17.09 carats, the mounting decorated with bows, set with old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .85 carat, size 5¾.
Condition
In good condition with minor wear to the shank; the shank very slightly out-of-round, commensurate with wear. The sapphire is a richly saturated medium-deep slightly violetish blue and eye-clean. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, predominantly VS clarity. Nice detailing to the mounting. Accompanied by GRS report no. GRS2015-077040 stating that the sapphire is of Sri Lankan origin, with indications of heating. Please note that the estimate is 50,000-75,000 not 65,000-85,000 as stated in the printed catalogue.
